Just as the title says. I picked up both the decklid/wing a few months back, and have since decided against installing (I know i'll be kicking myself in the foot for this one). The decklid/wing weighs a fraction of the OE 996TT wing/motor mechanism and understand it saves 30+ lbs.

The quality is good. There are minor scuffs on the edges of the wing. Both the wing/decklid will require some prep work prior to paint. The weave is great, but as with most aftermarket parts, it is not perfect. These are best described in the pictures below.

The combo runs for over $3k, and from my understanding the AWE wing is manufactured by MA Shaw. This would be ideal for anyone looking to do a painted decklid/cf wing scheme or upgrade to the entire assembly.

nice....just installed this exact piece....for those interested it ran about $700 for prep/paint/install. Totally changed the look of the car!
