Ciggie lighter doesn't work

1 Attachment(s)
Strange problem in that my ciggie lighter doesn't work when I press down. The lighter doesn't lock into position nor does it work with another lighter.

There is power as adaptor to recharge my iPhone works fine. Could it be possible the adaptor has damaged the locking tabs? Can anyone compare their ciggie sockets with my picture to see if anything is different?

Thanks

I'll trade you my working cig lighter for your working door boot switch. My dealer says there must be an issue with the door switch since they are backordered. I think is was $800 for one so I told him to forget it and if I want something out of the boot i'll just get out of the car.;)

when you use a phone adaptor in the Bentley cigar liter sockets they like to blow the fuse, pull your fuse panel down and you will see 2 15 amp(blue) fuses on the bottom rail, replace the one that is blown,if it still does't work you will need a new socket which are very easy to fit.

The rear boot(trunk) switch in the drivers side door. Give me a price on it if you have one. I am concerned that the labour may be a bit much to get it in so if you take it out give me an idea of real time required to do the job.

Sorry Doc, I have had a look and I only have 2 of the trunk badge switches for trunk release, I am over here in the uk and if anything comes up i will point you in the right direction.
