The car I am thinking of buying has one led out on the high 3rd brakelight.
Whats the fix for this in Canada or abroad, anyone know.
Thanks

you are going to need to replace the 3rd brake lite assembly.

And the usual Dealer price to a customer is?
Part...
Labour...
Thanks

Wow, Its nice to have a Bentley Tech on this site!

i think the part is about $300 and labour depends on each dealer, usually about 4-5 hours. you used to have to replace the rear screen but now a new kit is available which means just the light needs renewing.

In the US it runs about $1500 for parts and labor.

call northbrook bentley in the states, they will for sure beat your local dealers price for the part in canada, even with shipping included.

Am thinking..... anyone have their hands on a 'defective' LED panel? Has anyone ever tried 'hacking' into it to make the LEDs 'dance and sequence'? Just a frivolous idea really, but something the blingers might enjoy.

Just had my LED replaced I'm 05 CGT.
La Salle warranty doesn't cover.
Tried replacing LED only.
Cracked rear screen.
Oops.
New screen.

No profit on that job for the garage.

There is a TSB and a special tool that they should use not...expensive rear window.
