Spare wheel well filling with water - NOT blocked aerofoil drains
Checking the spare tyre and tools before a long European trip, I found the spare wheel well had almost an inch of water in it.
Followed the https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...unt-water.html thread on blocked aerofoil drains and found one was detached. Fixed this and thought that was the end of the problem.
However, the wheel well had even more water in it this weekend!
1. checked aerofoil drains - clear
2. checked boot lid rubber seal - no leaks
I then discovered the water is finding a way in through the two rectangular black plastic vents.
Service history shows the rear bumper has been off in the past to replace parking sensors. Should there be some sealing on the top edge of the rear bumper to prevent water ingress through the vent flaps?
