Check Engine Code P050A
The 2007 Continental Flying Spur threw a check engine code the other day. Just got around to checking it, and when I started it the check engine light was gone. It had stored the code, though, and it ended up being P050A, Cold Start Idle Air Control System Performance. Since I cleared the codes, it hasn't come on again. I never felt like it was having trouble idling when first started, but I will keep carefully observing. It has less than 12k miles, and hasn't had a problem before. Any ideas? Not too worried since it hasn't yet come back, but thought I would throw it out there to see if anyone's heard about it. Thank you!

Hi.
Just make sure that the battery is charged as a low charge can cause all sorts of spurious faults. The drive probably charged it anyway hence the check lamp not coming back on. Les. |
