Part# 037906263 / AIR VACUUM PURGE VALVE SENSOR
1 Attachment(s)
Hello Follks:
I completed the 40K service on an 09 CGT yesterday. I changed the plugs as part of the service. As expected, there were quite a few harnesses and hoses to detach to remove the intake manifold. As I was wiring everything back up, I noticed that there is a part (air vacuum purge valve sensor / Part# 037906263 ?) up front and couldn't locate the harness for that. I've searched everywhere near the front of the engine bay and cant find any harnesses hanging loose or disconnected. Before I proceed to disconnect everything and search under the intake manifold, I thought I'll check on the forum first. Also, several of the flex tubing (heat shields ?) around the sensor wires had cracked and splintered, exposing the bare wires around the engine bay. I used electrical insulation tape to patch them back somewhat. But it ended up being a half*** job... Do you guys recommend any other alternative? Thanks in advance. |
Get more flexible tubing IMHO or perhaps Gold reflective insulation.

Thanks Steve. I didn't realize you could buy those. I bought a spool from Autozone and patched em up.
Also looking at other pictures and the dirt around the sensor up front, I can confirm there is no harness attached to it.

Yeah, we used that plastic flex hosing all the time in car audio. Cheap and easy.... like me :)

I have a 09 GT and changed my plugs last week. I did not have an electrical connector to the sensor.

For someone who is looking for the proper tape to use, look up Tesa tapes.
These are the tapes OEM use for taping harnesses: http://www.tesatape.com/industry/aut...ire_harnessing There are some used for interior that is sound damping. There is a model could be used in engine bay that can withstand 150 degree Celsius. |
Anyone know where is evap purge valve located? I have error p0441 002 incorrect flow |
