Plastic Line inside Rear Passenger Side Inner Fender. What is it?
Hey Guys. I just bought my first Bentley. It's a 2006 GT with a Mansory Body Kit. I'm fixing a few things on it: Air Suspension front and rear, Vacuum Leak behind the Steering Rack (Replacing with metal brake lines), and a few other small issues. When I took the right hand rear passenger (US) inner fender out to replace the air shock, there was a plastic line just hanging there. Does anyone know what this is and where it goes? Some kind of vent, vacuum, or air line?

I believe that is likely the drain tube for the fuel fill (gas cap) compartment. The rubber snubber doo-dad at the top of the tube "press fits" into the hole in the plastic "well" located at about 7:00 respective to the fuel cap.

That, or, it is the lead acid starter battery overfill tube if it is on the RS rear.
EDIT - Looking at the first pic again, I think Mr. Hellinger has it right. |
