Rear Suspension stuck up high. Level Faul Workshop
When I first got my 06 GT a few months back, I replaced all the air shocks and the air compressor. I then installed the adjustable lowering links. About a week after put the lowering links on, the rear suspension raised up and has been stuck there since. My buddy said when I would raise/lower that one side rear would move, but the other would not. I replaced that side level sensor, but still having the same issue. Now both rear stay up high and will not move. The front raises/lowers as it should. Any ideas?

Your man need to use Ross Tech (or the likes) and calibrate your suspension. I did my fronts and now it looks like I’m driving a dune buggy. When I try to calibrate the suspension, I get a error code.

Now I’m stuck with a workshop fault but it still drives. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.6sp...5789fcf00.jpeg Where did you get your sensors from? I’m going to change mines in hopes that it helps my situation. |
Hadn't heard of 'lowering links' before. Don't most peeps just recode the VCDS to lower the suspension?
Wondering if the change to the suspension geometry has faked out the sensors? |

. I just got another used one off ebay with the same part number |
Sorry I don't recall. It was from one of the big German parts places. But you can also source via VW dealers - here's one I found. Price is about what I paid from the warehouse place.
The part #'s are different left and right: https://parts.autobarnvwcountryside....E0616571E.html https://parts.autobarnvwcountryside....E0616572E.html You may want to take a look under the car and see if the arm is physically broken. That's where mine failed. As a caveat, I'm assuming the Phaeton and Bentley parts are the same. I don't know for sure. |
