Greetings,
Having an issue with the rear quarter window trim on the new beastie. Found this floating, as in just bouncing around loose, behind the brightwork on the driver's side:
As near as I can figure it is supposed to secure the corner of the trim like so:
But since it isn't behind the trim securing it, I have a gap of about 1/4".
Looks bigger in the photo, but is really only 1/4"
So the clip is not shown in the parts pages at Suderia and all the probing with toothpicks I have done underneath the trim has failed to locate anything for the clip to attach to. On top of that IETS is less than helpful, it is 4 years out of date for my car, on removing the trim. If anyone can provide any insight it would be most appreciated.
Thanks
Hello @EJag66 ,
EDIT: SEE MY NEXT POST, I FORGOT THAT YOU HAVE A 2014... I will leave this information here for anyone that has this issue with a first Gen.
Congratulations on the new B !
As to this issue, I think that the clip has separated from the molding itself.
Here are some pictures I just took of the molding from the driver's side (LHD), and the black parts vehicle that also shows where the clip clips into place, both pieces are of the chrome brite finish, you can see the receiver piece on the black body window area.
Although, your clip does have a different appearance..

Hello @EJag66 ,
Here is the 2014 molding, the glue/epoxy has let go on yours, and I believe that to properly epoxy the clip back onto the molding, and then slide it into place, front to back, you will need to remove the inner panel to gain access to the screws holding the other areas of this molding in place, if in fact there are screws in the 3 mounting points shown by red arrows.
Sorry I am not 100% on the mounting for the 2014.

Johnny,
On the spot as always. So it looks like in addition to the clip separating from the trim, I am missing the anchor attached to the body. That part is listed on Scuderia so I can replace it if I get the inner panel off and remove the trim. Don't suppose you have already posted a thread on that little job? Thanks again for all your help.
