Random Hood Warning

So of course, as I think I am wrapping up all open issues with my GT, driving home from FireKeepers in Michigan today, the dash warning for my hood kept coming on and off. Pulled off the highway and confirmed latched all tight, guessing sensor is going bad. Anyone have any experience with these sensors?

guys what you need? :) the sensor/micro-switch is integrated with the lock.
just get into the sensor/switch/cable plug,, apply some cleaning / wd40 like stuff, try again.
also check wiring, any damage/fix it.
before buying anything else :)
you can also use vcds to do the test of your sensors if signals are getting ok to the cpu.

Yeah I only saw it that one time and it was pretty cold outside so guess switch was gunked up. Good call on some WD-40, if it continues to happen I would look to replace the sensor
