Not sure why, went to close the top today and it stopped a foot before the front header would latch. Now the button does nothing unless i manually store the top in the compartment. Once stored, it can fully open properly but once I try to close it , it does the same thing and stops working. I plugged a scanner in and I got the code "01993:012 Convertible top compartment locking motor, electrical error in circuit." Not sure where to go from here. Any help is appreciated. I'd love a convertible however when I was at my local Bentley agent they had a brand new gen 3 with zero Mike's on the clock and the roof had stuck an inch from closing.
They couldn't find the issue so it was being picked up and returned to Galsgow Crew.
These cars give enough heart ache as it is.
It would be nice for other convertible car owners know the answer to the OP issue.
