Sorry about this... I'm not a fan of repetition either so I'll try and keep it brief...
'07GT, bought two weeks ago. Noticed straight away that the keyless entry wouldn't unlock the drivers door. Wasn't too worried as I know this is common and probably down to broken wires in the door handle. Worked perfectly in all other aspects; could open the passenger door and boot, and start the car using the start/stop button with the keyless entry. Could also lock/unlock/open boot with the remote fob, and putting the key in the dash and turning started and stopped the car normally. For a few days last week, the car was jacked up at the front end whilst I changed the air struts. When this was completed, I lowered the car back down. From that point on, it's as if it's forgotten it has keyless entry. No more keyless-entry opening of the passenger door or boot, no keyless starting with the Start/Stop button; when I try this, I get KEY NOT FOUND followed by IMMOB ACTIVATED. I have to put the key in the dash and either turn it, or press the Start/Stop button with the key in the dash. Both House and Starter batteries were replaced with Varta items prior to the suspension job. Both fully charged prior to fitting. The House battery was kept on a tender while the car was up on jacks. The Starter battery wasn't. I've also changed the battery in the remote fob for a brand new Duracell item; I get the green flash from the LED whenever the buttons are pressed. My first thought was that jacking the front end of the car up has caused trapped water under the scuttle to slosh back into the passenger footwell and soaked the KESSY. I've just pulled the carpet up - everything is bone dry. The KESSY itself looks perfect; no stains, no corrosion, no damp foam underneath it, no corrosion around the pins. I've opened it up too; pristine condition.
