Get yourself:

KW V2 Suspension
Brembo BBK
Rogue Engineering El Diablo Exhaust (perfect for the cabrio)
AFE or K&N Intake (you will find a lot of disagreement, at the end of the day its still just an intake)
Discovery Automotive ECU Tune
OEM Hardtop
OEM Wind Deflector

I wouldn't recommend much more engine performance mods if you plan on going big with power later on. Header, mid-pipe... etc start delving into more money and your car is not gonna become a monster with them. I would recommend you save up and get the VF Stage 1 kit... inexpensive and effective.
The Brembo and KW kits will instantly make your car sooo much better, you will realize that you will be able to take your M to the limit with these mods. You will not regret it.
Nice M, makes me miss my baby. Here is some pics for the hell of it

I don't know why all of you guys are talking him out of the GruppeM muffler. It is loud, but sound is subjective. It's also the lightest weighing muffler for the M3, and saving any pound helps with the heavy vert. I run the Eisenhaus Meisterschaft TI w/ Supersprint unresonated S & X pipes, and it's not loud enough for me, so I'm actually going to be switching to the GruppeM.

As for their intake, definitely not worth the money. As people have said, you're not going to get too much out of the money you put into motor mods. a 4.10 full diff should run you $2,500 and will be a great bang for the buck. You've already got wheels, so put another $2k into coilovers and call it a day.

For potential "upgrades" check out my mod list. One of my favorites is the suspension. I've got KWv2 coupled with Eibach f/r sways and it's not only comfortable but handles like it's on rails. But then I love my BBK too, well just about everything else. There are lots of upgrades that others have too not to mention power - lots of F/I and N02 but then you can do that with practically any car. Take you pick - I should warn you, I love carbon fiber:

Exterior
V-CF Race Hood - Special edition 1 of 5 worldwide
V-CSL Bumper W/CF Race Lip
Additional V-CF Race Lip – for shows
V-CSL Trunk
V-CSL Diffuser
CF Roundels
CF Grills
CF Gills
CF Rear Hood Vent
CF Headlight Trim
LED Rear Tail Lights
LED Third Brake Light
Depo Shaded Corners
Predator Chromiums w/Remote
Micro Antenna
V-CF License Plate Holder
OEM Bumper – Spare: Colored Reflectors
Blackout Grill (Spare)
Blackout Gills (Spare)
OEM Trunk (Spare) with CF ACS Rear Lip Spoiler

Interior
Full Interior Black CF Trim
CF Steering wheel roundel
Vorsteiner CSL Center Console (to match CF trim)
CF Steering Wheel Roundel
CF E-Brake Handle
Ultimate Pedals - Frost/Non-Slip: Gas, Brake/Clutch, Dead Pedal – “///M3” Etching
///M3 Floor Mats
OEM Wind Buffer
DICE iPod Interface

Chassis
Vorsteiner VRS Forged Wheels - Brilliant Polish - 19x8 & 19x10
Michelin PS2 275/30 & 245/35
V-Brembo Special Edition 6 Piston Monobloc 380mm Cross-Drilled Front
V-Brembo GT 4 Piston 345mm Cross-Drilled Rear
Quatro Performance Carbon Fiber Strut Bar
Agency Power Strut Bar (spare – just because)
Ground Control Rear Shock Mounts
KWv2 Coilovers
Eibach F/R Sway Bars

Under-the-Hood & Power
OEM CSL Headers & OEM CSL Cats
SS X-Pipe w/ Resonator
Eisenmann Race Muffler
D/A Race Software
CF Radiator Cover
V-CF Engine Cover
SE Drop-In Filter

I'll very likely be moving back to another Porsche -- a 997S in the near future
