What's a good price for this car?
03 M3 44k. Anthracite/Black/ Alum. trim. CPO until 10/09
All maintenance records, immaculate rims, no dings/scrapes. I've been considering 68-73 911s, but this car has definately caught my eye (little different than the old 911 also). |
no options?
that's gonna be a cheap one :p |
i would imagine low $30k's. check kbb.com. their prices on M3's are dead on as far as trade in value (at least used to be).
|
That car should be in the upper $20,000's AT MOST! Good Luck!

Yeah, I guess its got a few options. 6MT, premium luxury group (whatever that is), Nav. I'll get the winsow sticker today. It is at a dealer, but upper 20s seems optimistic for my region (New England). Its a cash sale so if you know of any good ones in that range with CPO that ought to be considered, let me know.

check m3forum.com also check e46fanatics.com
like i said, also consult kbb.com there is no premium luxury group, there was a premium package which included things like sunroof, power seats, memory seats and i forget what else... |
Thanks again
I checked KBB and the suggested retail was ~$36.5, which is why the high 20s sounded a bit off. I'd really like to find something a little different if possible (Ruf Porsche, Dinan M3 or M5), but the CPO is nice insurance. I'm still trying to find a site with the basics such as performance stats, weight, etc. Its been a while since I drove one. Matt |

unless you are in "hurry", i don't think it's worth paying 35k.
most i would pay - low 30s |
i would take the trade in value. add $500-1000 for expenses for the dealer and give them about $1-2k for profit. no more. so therefore, whatever trade in is. i would pay about $3k more than that if you are looking for a good deal. anything over that would not be a "good" DEAL, but you may have to pay extra if you must have certain colors, condition etc. etc.

Was there some big change to these cars between 03 and 04? A lot of people seem to suggest looking more for an 04 or newer car. What am I missing, other than a possibly longer CPO?
