Any other clown shoe owners here?
Hey guys, thought I would intro myself. I am the proud owner of an estorial blue z3 m coupe. My first BMW experience, and I am happy to say that so far I am happy (well after I spent about 50 hours installing a Randy Forbes subframe kit, i am happy now)
My next goal is a drop, and to get my wheels refinished.
Anyways,, I will probably be a lurker here for a while, as my grandpa said, "Its better to hold your tongue and look the fool, than open your mouth and remove any doubt" haha

Mine is a 99, so I have the S52 motor. Are you getting a Z4 M Coupe? What color combination? I am in love with those cars!

Great thread, great cars! Here's my old one which I sold a few years back:
It came with Eibach springs on stock shocks which weren't very good. I switched to TCK springs at first which helped control the rear a bit, but moved to TCK DA coilovers - significant improvement.
Still, the car loved to swing the rear like none other!
I don't think BMW will ever build such an eccentric car again.

how many first-gen M coupes were built with S54 motors?
I have heard from numerous people that the M coupe was the best handling car BMW ever built, but also, required the most ***** to drive fast.
Great looking cars.
Last question, are there many S52 powered M coupes running around with forced induction or is that too much power for such a small wheelbase car?
