New E92 M3 In the Wild!
I was informed by a friend of mine today that the local BMW dealership had a special event going on. BMW is having a cross country event where a breast cancer awareness charity has teamed up with BMW to travel the United States. BMW brings all of their new and even some unreleased vehicles to various dealerships across the country to allow people to test drive their cars. Proceeds go to the breast cancer charity.
Why are the test drives awesome? It’s quite simple actually. You mosey on down to the sign up sheet, reserve your spot in line, wait until they call your name, and then they throw the keys into your hands… no salesman intact! They allow you to take any car they have within their program (ahem – E92 M3!!!) and hand you the keys.
Here they had a 15 miles route set up all day for people to take the new cars on. The sign up list for the E92 M3 was literally a couple hours long but well worth it. Essentially, you get to thrash around a top notch car for a solid 25 minutes, no questions asked and with no supervision! You haven’t been granted that much privacy and freedom since the first time you were allowed to urinate by yourself in kindergarten!
I only got to see the car for a few glimpses due to it being used so heavily but luckily I had my mini digital camera in hand and snapped a few photos. I haven’t seen the new M3 until today and still don’t even know if it has been officially released yet or not? I will be looking forward to your answers on that question.
What is my opinion of the car? Thank you for asking, I enjoyed it. It was actually surprisingly quiet when they turned it on. Maybe it has exhaust baffles of some sort? I was expecting a lot more of a grunty pissed off V8 and it fell into more of a category of a cute dog Paris Hilton would tote around in her bag type sound. It didn’t have the meat behind it I thought it would but I’m sure it makes up for it when it’s under WOT.
Anyway, sorry I didn’t take any more photos but it’s the best I could do within 30 seconds!
Enjoy for all the people who haven’t really seen a new M3 “in the wild.”

Northern VA BMW's dealers are the last bach. We get the cars on 11/12 rofl. For everyone else that wants to register for their state, here is the map.

HomoSexual for long?
Also you know, most of this is advertisement in a different way. A person in their mid 20s is more capable of buying a BMW than someone little younger. Oh well, I still got Carmax for my random test drive days.

Believe me, I thought about it for a while!- Chris
Kind of a shame that they wouldn't let us drive it because there would have been a high probability that realistically one of us would have bought it in the future. (Myself included - I have always had an affinity for M3's)

)man...11/12 is too late!!!
I went by the other day when it was here in Miami. I was outraged when I found out I had to be 30 to test drive it. I couldn't believe it. I have 2 M3's coming in April. I have had 2 previous M3's. Still they said for Insurance purposes they couldn't let me drive. Aren't the majority of M3 buyers under 30? I have gone to the Lamborghini track events and Bentley drives and there is no such limitation's.
The thing that got me really pissed off was that I was invited there by the dealer, so I took time out of my Boat Show day to drive to the dealer, just to be told that I couldn't drive unless I was 30.
