New Toy...(now with pics!)

Well boys...I picked up a new toy this past weekend.

A new, never titled 2007 BMW Z4 M Coupe...black Sapphire over black interior and every option available. Needless to say pics will be posted soon!

She's a wonderful machine and worlds apart from my Z toy I got rid of....more to come.

First, welcome to the club! You'll enjoy the car.
Second - every option? So you've got extended leather? That option is the only reason I wish I'd ordered one and waited for it.

Thanks for the welcome! I love how exclusive this club is...I rarely see these on the roads.

Actually, I think that is everything, then; iirc, HD wasn't an option until 08. Extended leather is nice, and from what I've seen on the Z4 forums, few people have it.

You're right about how rare they are - since the 2006 release of the Z4 coupe, I've never seen another on the road here in Chicago.

Epbrown - that's a nice car, do you have any more pictures of it? I'd like to see the coupe with those wheels in more detail!

There's a larger shot in the last page of the "Official M picture gallery" thread: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...7&postcount=62

My chief concern about the M Coupe is if I'll be able to fit my walker in the trunk in 40 years... so "no."

Hilarious. Was saving pennies for a 996TT, sold my E46 M3 last October (was an '02). I'm getting sick of saving and a car with full service and warranty and half the size of my M3 sounds kinda nice. What made you choose the couple over the convertible?

I previously had a Z4 roadster, so in part it was to get something different than last time, in part because I think the coupe is better looking, and lastly because I was pretty sure I'd keep the car a long time and the coupe will be less trouble than a roadster over the long run, with the typical worries about convertible (security, the top canvas being damaged, the top motor failing, and the eventual need to replace the top).

And as Bankbuster23 mentioned, the coupes are more exclusive - you see Z3 and Z4 roadsters a lot more than their coupe siblings.
