Actually, it is minor. See, the DCT is run off the crank by a pulley. So if I want underdrive pullies for example, the pulleys available for the manual could possibly underdrive the DCT causing issues.
So, they used my car to get new pulley measurements to produce a set of pulleys specifically for the DCT. Although a minor mod, it takes time to develop and manufacture a new product.
well everyone is entitled to their own opinion. anything can happen in a race. but if you try and control as many variables as possible it becomes more of a math equation. i can care less but, if you want to make this personal i say NO PROBLEMO. it should be interesting.. for scientific purposes.

Still haven't answered it, why does the C63 do better against the E55 then the M3, yet the M3 somehow destroys the C63?
In the M3 vs C63 race the C63 must have messed up somehow, the evidence doesn't support your beliefs buddy.

These videos are hardly the be all end all, who knows what the temp was during each run, if the cars had a cooldown, etc, they are all so close these small variables will influence.
If you actually look at the videos the E55 pulls the C63 up top, the E55 does not pull the M3 up top. The E55 gets the jump at first and maintains the distance.
Regardless, just for you, I will run Max H.

Funny, the tests for the DCT I have seen put it right at if not ahead the C63. Depends who you read and which M3 you want to look at I guess. It seems to me it is a drivers race. According to these videos, you get a free flowing muffler and you work the C63 hard.

that is s deficit of 717 lbs. why dont you put all your mods and add 3 200lbs men and a 117lbs woman in your car then come talk. oh wait, you cant do that.. your car is too small.

Yes my car has a blower. your does not. i dont have to downshift 2 or 3 gears just to pass someone on the street or fwy. i have something called torque. and plenty of it. a gentle tap of the gas and wooosh off we go without any fuss. exactly why i obtained it. its obvious you bought your car for different reasons. I hope you enjoy your car to the fullest.

Second of all, you got your weight for the M3 wrong. With DCT, it is a 65 pound penalty, and the car is at 3700.
I could care less what people say but considering this is an open automotive forum I WILL voice my opinion and provide what I feel is accurate information.
I would never boil the cars down to just a few words, they are much more than that.

I think we will still be able to get a general idea of the performance of the cars. My goal is simply to show these cars are all at such a high performance level that something as simple as traction off the line will influence the outcome. The driver becomes the greatest variable.
The C63 does not pull away from a DCT M3, it is a drivers race.
Will be glad to meet up with you and enjoy the cars as enthusiasts.
