My convertible top won't work. 2000 M Roadster.
What i know:
1.) The pump and motor are good and will operate the top when powered directly. 2.)The button itself is not the issue, as I have tried one from an identical car which had a working top. Theories: 1.) There are some micro-switches in the top somewhere which are malfunctioning 2.) The vehicle speed sensor (which I know to be faulty) has some control over the top and needs to be replaced. Any help is much appreciated! |
Most convertibles take input from the VSS. For example, the Honda S2000 will not allow you to operate the top over approx. 7 mph.
