depending on climate where you live, if a true daily driver then awd gtr has a huge advantage over m3/4. i use my gtr in 4'' snow with all season tires and no issue

TARZAN is infamous around these parts
In your price range, and for daily purpose, have you looked into an S6, S7, or IS-F?

I went from GTR to M3.... I owned GTR for a year and got very bored with it. Cobb stage 2, mid pipe, fast, blah blah.

If you care primarily about street racing, attention, and bragging rights the GTR is without peer honestly (got more attention than even my heavily modified NSX)

I absolutely couldn't click with it though. It always felt big to me, I hated the interior, and it was too clinical IMO. The ride was harsh also.

The E92, to me, feels a lot more special *driving it* and is a much nicer place to be. It's a lot slower but, IMO, is much more fun to drive.

911 is a different story altogether. Owned two plain old "slow" 996s and they are still my favorite cars to date (incl even NSX)

If I didn't want my DD to be more practical and lower key these days I'd have gone with a 997.2 over the E92. GTR I'd never do again (there's a reason they've only sold 7000 or so in the USA to date and IMO it isn't deliberately limited production). On the plus side I've had two dealers email me with offers on '14s below MSRP so for someone who does fall in love decent deals can be found on it.
