I was at my local BMW dealer today to pick up my car after it's annual service and ran into my sales person. They are the biggest BMW dealer in Northern CA. He told me if you ordered a new M4/M3 today you would be looking at a December delivery. Evidently demand is huge. First cars from the first allotments are due in September. Yikes.

Interesting... I spoke to the dealer 3 weeks ago and was told that the ordered cars are being delivered in July/Aug. Anyone else get a delivery date from a dealer?

Doubt the July date. Maybe late August. They haven't even started production yet. Plus add 4 weeks on the water to the dealer.

This was just based on if you ordered one. I am sure they have spec'd cars coming in sooner.

I'm in the va area and was told jun/July time frame. Depends on dealerships allotment dates and your order date, mine was April 18 and it's been "in production phase" since june12.

There are multiple launch cars available for sticker in SoCal.
I just checked out my buddy's car that he picked up last week for sticker.

It's NOTHING like it was for the E46 M3 which was going for $10,000 over sticker at launch. The E92 came out in the economic melt down, but was still goin for around $5,000 over.

Dealers will tell you whatever they can think up if it makes you buy a car now! The car looks good, but I don't see demand for this thing anything out of the ordinary which means tight supplies at first, plentiful if you can wait a bit. I'm curious what the EPA ratings are going to be for the car...how much better than the e90/92 version...not that mileage is the biggest factor.
