GSR Autosport | First M4 ECU Tune | Results +50whp +50wtq mid range on 91 Octane!!

GSR Autosport in conjunction with our Technicial Partners Jailbreak Tuning are proud to offer the very first ECU flash for the 2015 BMW M4. Results yielded +50whp +50wtq mid range on 91 Octane!!

We are in the final stages of Vehicle Tune Testing and Validation with the GSR M4 at Buttonwillow Racepark in California, completing another in a series of extreme climate test cycles.

Now for the tune results! Here is the graph showing stock power vs. power with our ECU tune. The runs were done on an extremely hot day, mid 90’s which isn’t ideal for power but was necessary as a part of our stress testing. If the car makes power in this kind of heat things can only get better with cooler weather. The car has run this tune on the track as well and has performed beautifully.

As you can see from the graph, huge torque gains down low help the S55 engine kick you in the back of your seat right away, 2800RPM sees gains of 60tq and 30hp at the tires, getting rid of a lot of the sluggishness commonly referred to as turbo lag.

Power delivery is smoother across the board and peak delta is in the mid-range where you need it with gains of almost 50hp and 50tq at the tires at 5000RPM. The car now pulls hard right when you punch it all the way to redline with a very linear power delivery and a much more aggressive engine note.

More information to come from GSR Autosport and Jailbreak Tuning…

Note: This is not a piggy back system (commonly offered in the mark place) it is an ECU flash, actually reprogramming the car’s computer. As such, the car is not fighting itself to make the power and the ECU’s adaptations will only enhance the power gained opposed to degrading over time.
