My feelings are mixed right now, time will tell what my final verdict is. I will probably like it in the end, especially when I'm gawking at it at the dealership....

Either way, I don't think I'll ever get an E60 M5. Porsche is my next choice.

I am mixed on it.

Let us see the back, the 5 series' worst feature, and maybe I can make a judgement.

It really does resemble a pontiac. I think the 6 series is even closer to the pontiac.

I have spoken to a lot of previous generation 5 series owners and they have checked out the new 5. They bring up one important observation. They are definitely making the cars cheaper. They point out a lot of the little things like trunk hinges.

 

I think its hot, for a Bangle design that is. The new 5 wagon was just shown in Europe and it looks hot, I think an M5 wagon would be great for the US!

 

It is definately the best E60 design I have seen so far, but I still prefer the E39 M5 (I am biased though). I cannot wait to see the real images from Geneva. BTW. power is expected to be 550bhp, not 500.

 

I saw a 6series coupee in person here and I was not impressed...the front bumper was sooo uglky!! looked like the 3series sport package option bumper

I am on the list for the M6 and M5, eagerly awaiting, although, I have to think I may be disappointed. I will say, I hated the 7 so much when it came out. I hated it for two years, then one day, I saw one with nice rims, the windows were tinted and I was like wow, it looks pretty darn good. Simultaneously, I noticed all the reviewd for the new 6 even mentioned that the Bangle designs were starting to make sense. They went so far as saying they even liked the 7 now and previous generation Bimmers as wella s all other cars look dated. We'll see, I can only hope as I think the standard 5 looks horrible. No matter what size wheel, because of the far too chuncky side profile, the wheels look too small. I saw the 6 in person though and I like it. If you see a pic of the 6, put your thumb over the bangled trunk and what profile do you see, I couldn't believe it!! Try it and tell me what you see in profile.

I have a 545i sitting in the garage and am on the list for the M5. I really like the styling, it grows on you. By the way, I got 30 mpg on a trip to Vegas.
