Thinking about trading in the M6 for a 360

Hi I am thinking about trading in my 2006 Bmw M6 with 6300 miles on it for a Ferrari 360 Modena. My car has all options except for the leather dash. Any opinions on differences in cars would be much appreciated. Also any idea on values of the M6. Mine is Silver on Black as well.

Thanks

Corey

Go for it, even though the M6 packs a mean punch nothing sounds looks/better then a 360. maintenancewill be costly for the 360 and it's not the best daily driver. The 360 holds it's value fairly well. The M6 is more economical,

I've now put 15k kms. on my M6 as a daily driver. For the last two summers, I've owned two different 360 spiders.

The cars are as different as night and day. You could drive a 360 as a daily, but I wouldn't want to - it's too much of a chore and gets severely punished on resale for mileage. It has no cupholders, no nav, crappy stereo and I wouldn't want to park it anywhere public.

As a weekend toy, there is no comparison. While the 360 is not nearly as fast as the M6, it sounds better (mine both had tubi's), but it has better torque and is just about the most fun car to drive you will ever find. Your brain is hardwired to the steering and the sound is intoxicating.

IMVHO, no car guy should die without owning a 360.

Edit: your M6 is worth 75 wholesale, 85 retail.

I agree with Jamie, as long as it's going to be a weekend toy, go for the 360. It's just more special than the M. Sex is a good way to describe the feeling of driving one!

Wow, thank you very much for the response. I love this forum. The M6 I have been driving quite a bit but its not my only source of transportation so I can drive another vehicle on a daily basis if needed. Just thinking that it might be time to upgrade to a Ferrari. Now do i

A. Trade the M6 in for a Ferrari
B. Sell the M6 then buy the Ferrari

Decisions, Decisions.

I think I will start looking for a 360 though and figure out what the value is I believe I can get for my M6. Any more opinions would be much appreciated as well. I really thought the Ferrari would be faster then the M6 as its a lot lighter.

Get the 360. What an absolute blast to drive! It's not like you're making a lifelong commitment here. You want a change, and that's a great one. No brainer . . .

Dude, life is short and fragile. If you can swing it without affecting your lifestyle and retirement, why the heck not?
