New 2011 Spyder

Hey guys, it's taken me a bit to finally post pictures of my new Spyder. I've had it since May, I must say that I am happier today than the day I bought it home.
I am going to post some pix that I took prior to getting a few modifications done at Accumoto Motorsport here in Wisconsin. This set shows what it looked like stock (prior to undergoing a few upgrades). It was raining tonight, as soon as I can take a few pictures tomorrow I will post the updates.
The new pictures tomorrow will show:

Silk Black Powder Coated GT2 style wheels w/ red pinstripe
Silk Black mirrors
Silk Black trim w. stainless steel mesh grill on front and side intakes
15mm spacers on rear wheels
Clear bra/extended over rear quarter panels

Very nice. The spyder has a look that is all its own and is sure to turn heads everywhere you drive her.

New Pics

Better pictures to come, unfortunately a lot of the detail is lost with an I phone camera. I will take better pictures this weekend with a real camera.

Bhoov (or anyone else with a Spyder),

Just saw my first Spyder in person. Stunning! Same as yours, white. Curious about a couple things: How does the lightweight top compare to the regular Boxster S in terms of exterior noise, etc.? What other differences can you report from a driving standpoint (besides the obvious of more power). Noticeably stiffer or less user-friendly as a DD?

Thanks.

I have owned the car for a little over 3 months, and I can say I am even happier now than when I purchased it (I tend to have car A-D-D, so it's a big deal for me to say that). It has been my daily driver all summer. I have been pleasantly surprised that with the top up or down, the wind noise on the interior of the car is much lower than I anticipated.
Biggest differences over a regular "S":

Suspension- noticeably VERY different. The ride is firm, but more forgiving than I anticpated. The driver always feels very engaged with the car.
Power/weight- The extra horsepower can be felt more as a function of weigh loss...because of the weight savings, the 10bhp bump feels more like 25bhp to me.

Stock Exhaust- More aggressive, a bit louder because of the weight savings in the exhaust system. I tend to like a louder, tuned exhaust note similar to Capristo/Fabspeed. I will most likely add a new exhaust, I am still debating whether to add an entire powerkit to get the car to 500bhp or so. Tough decision, I don't want to lose the warranty, thus I will wait on this for a bit. If you are a person who likes a more aggressive exhaust note, but not too loud, the stock set-up on the Spyder is for you.

The top- It takes a little while to understand how to efficiently take off/put on with only 1 person. After I viewed the porsche video online, it became super easy and takes 2 minutes. The brochure that comes with the car is not great. After months of ownership, I would still choose the design aesthetic and weight savings on the Spyder for and automatic top and weight of the normal "S". If you plan on driving this in the winter months, I would not recommend. I don't see the top handing snow and ice well. Mine will be stored all winter.

One of the best things about the car as well...there are not many around. I haven't seen another (yet) here in Madison, WI. Very few people actually know what the car is! This car has a unique identity.

Thanks for the comments everyone....much appreciated!
