What size wheel spacers for Cayman S Sport?

I have a Cayman S Sport with the factory sport wheels and I want to get a set of spacers. I think I read that the car comes with 5 mm spacers from the factory (not sure if this is in the front and rear or just the rear), but I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions on what size spacers I should run. Thanks.

with factory wheels & offset, adding 15mm spacers for the rear axle will take you from this:

My car is lowered and there is no rub.

I hear 7mm in front will push the fronts out flush with fender...but I have no personal exp with front spacers.

What are the widths and offsets of the factory wheels? What size tires were you running?

The wheels are factory 18's - rear wheels are 18x9 with 43 offset running 265/40/18. The wheels on 987's (Boxster/Cayman/S/Non-S) are inter-changeable - 18 or 19's. So, 15mm spacers will give you the same result, 18 or 19" wheels. HTH.

My wheels are 19X9.5 et 46, so I think they would stick out an extra few mms.

Spacers are never the best solution. Be aware you'll need an alignment even with just adding wider spacers and the handling gains are nominal. Plus you're adding useless mass to the unsprung weight. Save your money for a set of wheels and wider tires that give you better handling and a better look. Used factory 996/997 wheels are available all over this board for very fair prices.

I agree handling gain is nominal with spacers; it's a cosmetic "nip/tuck". Assuming that's what the OP wants, spacers are the most economical option to get wheels to sit flush with fender. Spacers is really a personal preference, just make sure you get the ones made for your car.

As for arguments on weigh and fitment...I reason the FVD 15mm spacers I had weigh a negligible 25g each - you'd more than make up the added weight by not carrying the iphone 4 (130g) in the car. Extending the tires out by 15mm is also negligible over typical life span of tires we put on our cars (rear tires avg. 14k miles, replaced @ 12 - 18mo). No factory wheels from Porsche will give you the flushed with fender look - most are recessed by 10 - 15mm.

I want to run spacers because I want to keep my car 100% stock. I have had many cars that I have dropped tons of money into, which always leads to spending more money, so I am really trying to stay strictly stock with this car (even wheels).

Go for the factory 5 mm spacers ... if you search via image on google you'll find a bunch of before and after pics.

I purchased mine online from the dealer

Thanks. I actually have the factory 5mm spacers. I have the Cayman S Sport, so they came with the wider wheels and spacers.

I have factory turbo wheels on my Cayman S. I bought 7mm for the front and 15mm for the rear and they are flush with the fenders. I bought them to fit 17" wheels on for the winter and decided to put them on my summer wheels and really like the look and the wider stance.

What are the offsets of the factory turbo wheels?

I run 7mm front and 15mm rear on my spyder and they look
perfect. Brian from RSS hooked me up with them.
My car is also lowered and there are no rubbing issues.
