Replacing Michelin Pilot Sport with Pilot Super Sport

I have a 2006 Boxster S and need to replace the rear tires. The car has Michelin Pilot Sports all around and I only need to replace the rears. Is it OK to have the Pilot Sports in the front and Pilot Super Sports in the rear? Any problems with that?
Thank you!!

If your going to get N-rated tires then they should be the same N rating regardless of brand and make sure you get two per axle for obvious reasons. Any reason your putting super sports in the rear?

I think you'll be ok...just replace the front with matching tires once the time comes.

Totally unrelated...great location...my home town

Btw, super sport is much better than ps2. It grips amazingly well in many conditions from track days to even light snow. I dont think there is any summer tire that is as versatile and reasonably priced

I've done that exact replacement on my 07 CaymanS. The only issue will be that you'll want to switch the fronts out after you see how much better the Super Sports are. You can't believe that there is that much difference from the old design to this new spec, plus they were cheaper?

You should be fine.

I have the Super Sports on the rear of my 997 and PS2's in the front. Once I have to replace the fronts then I will buy the super sports.
I also purchased Super Sports all around for my Panamera when I changed from 19" to 20 " rims. I love them and have been very pleased with them.

Go for the super sports. I replaced my ps2's and couldn't be happier.

Super sports are great. Best tire I've used so far.
