After 4 long months of searching, I have finally found a Spyder. Black on black, MT, buckets. What a blast to drive. I have a question about listening to music. Several actually...I assume my maps/ navi has not been updated. When you update the navigation, does that in any way update the audio functionality?
I tried to hook up the iPhone 5s to the USB port, but the source button does not list USB as a source.. Is there an update which will change this so I can use my iPhone through the USB port? If not, then he only way is the old porsche cable with the iPhone 4 type 30 pin connector with a 30 pin to lightning adapter, correct?m I do not want to stream audio,money to listen to what is stored on the phone. Last question, I have seen people write about using a thumb drive for USB input, but again, my source does not list it as a source.

 

make sure you are using a Porsche iPod Interface Cable OEM Part number 997 612 471 02. Need to plug in both the USB and the DIN adapter. Not sure if Porsche is releasing a newer cable that supports the Lightning Cable.

I have not tested it with a lightning adapter (yet.)

When I'm driving my Spyder, I don't turn on the radio or answer the phone. I'm in my "Happy Place" and don't need those distractions.
