This may be a "stupid" question, but does the presence of speaker grills in the door mean it definitely has door speakers? I recently bought a 04 Boxster base. The car is in great condition and I love driving it. The original Porsche radio leaves a lot to be desired in quality of sound, and I cannot get the door speakers to work. And I noticed that replacement stereos ask if it has door speakers. Every Boxster I have seen has the grills in the door panel, so is it possible it has the grills but no speakers?

Also, any recommendation on a good basic replacement unit? I have seen many stereos on Crutchfield with great reviews for under $150.
