The seller should have a CARFAX report on the car that he should share with you. (At least when I was looking to buy a 2003 Turbo the Porsche dealer salesman gave me a copy of the CARFAX report along with the paperwork/inspection report for the CPO.) If you want to know what options the car came with the VIN may tell you that but I don't know the procedure for getting that info via the VIN. IIRC there should be a tag stuck to the underside of the front trunk lid that lists the option codes. These codes are documented somewhere on the web. I just did a search on something like "porsche vin decoder" and got some hits. One hit after I entered the VIN gave me this info. I printed it to a PDF file and will attache them: |

Will give you the options it was originally made with. I found it very useful since a lot of car sites don't list the exact options, but list useless things like cruise control and air conditioning. Good way to be able to compare apples to apples. Good luck!! |
Based on my own research using VinCheck.info, the car has no records of accidents or flood damage.
The VIN check tool is free so you may lookup the VIN anytime you want to take a closer look. |
