THANKS--SHARKWERKS--Cayman S MODS

Cayman S -- Modding Round #1 -- Susp only--No engine stuff except flash
Will be at Thunderhill tomorrow for HOD event!!

THANKS to Alex Ross and James Hendry of Sharkwerks (in Norcal of course!) for completely transforming the handling of the Cayman S. Got this puppy ready in time for tracking despite that crazy insane motor build you guys are doing for that psycho owner:cool: !! Also Thanks to Brian and Christian for squeezing me in last minute for alignment!!

BEFORE: Picked up this Non-PASM Cayman S (Only options---Xenon/19 Sport Design/Floor Mats) in May 2006 from Carlsen and RESISTED modding the entire track season. Wanted to see what it could do completely stock...out of the box already a great track car -- running 2:15's @ TH stock w/ RA1's, def nothing to write home about. I'm more of a recreational track junkie, mostly going 7/10 during my sessions. Just wanted to see what some mods (coils, sways, race seats that actually hold me in, harnesses, etc) can do to my lap times...so we'll see.

AFTER: Sharkwerks & Co. changed the following: PSS9's, Sway Bars (F/R), B&M Short Shift, GT3 Euro Seats, GIAC Flash, Cool Red extinguisher (just in case), Track alignment. Firstly, the cayman looks so much better lowered!! Non PASM CS's ride WAY too high. PSS9's and Sway Bars def make a significant difference even on the street, less lean allowing me to push harder thru turns -- can't wait to see how it feels on track. Flash has def made the car more responsive in terms of throttle response -- more electric and exciting to drive, like car was in sport mode (like E46 M3 one) -- prior throttle was a bit lazy for my taste.

Here are some pics..enjoy!!

Wow, she looks great! May I ask why you chose PSS9's over the other alternatives?

Thanks!
Picked Pss9's partly based on feedback from other's who have made the change, their streetabilitity, overall value, and also on my experience w/ them on 996TT's. The price is also hard to resist -- approx $2k -- reasonable to mean in terms of improved handling and appearance. I realize there are better and more advanced choices out there like Moton's (which I have on my TT), but they cost $6K+...in addition based on my skill level and how far I am willing to push on track, the Pss9's will suffice. I

We'll see after some seat time...maybe I'll change my tune.

Car looks perfect, understated but a great performer. Nice work.

Glad to see not everyone is throwing batwings on this car.

Very nice! I dig your garage lift, too. It's all giving me bad ideas...
