Aston mechanic in Toronto

Can anyone recommend an AM garage in Toronto other than Grand Touring for regular service and possibly mods?
Tx, Marv

Try giving these guys a call:

Ontario CA L6J 2W6
Telephone: 905-845-0666

There is also Sam's Garage out in Markham.

Thanks Zookie and gekko,
I'm near Yonge and 401, so looking for someone closer.
Knew EU by name and reputation but never used them in the Porsche days. I've never heard of Sam's and it's closer. Anyone with personal experience? I'd like to try him for a regular/pre-track service.
Anyone use Birkshire Automobiles on Green Lane in Thornhill?
Thanks again,
Marv

I know Birkshire specializes in Jag's, not sure if they work on Aston's?

By the way, what did you end up getting (year/Specs/colour)?
I remember you where looking at a car down in the US.

Hope it's treating you well! Any other questions with the AM, pm me.

Cheers

Bought a pristine silver with black interior (white deviated stitching) 07 V8V manual with bluetooth, gps, upgraded sound and about 7k on the odometer from Orlando AM. Was inspected by a local 6speeder enthusiast (Cayman jockey). Car had one full year of warranty extended. No issues and regular service last year at Grand Touring.
Looking for similar garage experience like the enthusiast service that is part of the Toronto Porsche community. Hoping there is just enough local demand for a Jag/AM Anglophile mechanic.

Is this your car?
If so, I've seen you quite a few times & even spoke to you once when I passed by in my daily driver.

Sorry gekko,
That's not mine. Close but i think that's a newer model due to the rocker panel extentions. My windows also have a bit of a Florida tint.

So it looks like we have a few Vantages in the area :)
The car in the pic is a MY07, has the antena on the roof & the side sills must of been upgraded afterwards.

FYI spoke to a few people this weekend who used to service their Jags by Birkshire . . . they now go elsewhere.

You should try to come to some of the car meets, there is a Sticky at the top of this Cdn Section with the details for meets at LaPolma.

Thursday is Italian Night - along with a bit of everything else
Usually starts from 7:30 to about 10pm

Friday Nights - A dozen or so of us that meet 10:30pm til late.

Hi Marv, who did you end up going with EU or Sam's? I just joined the form as I picked up an AMV8VR. Looking to get it service as well.

marvls 09-16-2014 02:30 AM

Neither.
Unfortunately didn't drive the car much this summer and ended up with only a minor service at Grand Touring.
Curious to know if anyone else has used the others as I will need new brakes and major service beginning of next summer.
Pfaff may be another option, I think.

I going to try one of these indy shops out and let you know how it goes. If it was between Pfaff and GT, I would just go with GT since the rates will pretty much be the same and you would want the experience from the GT guys. I had a couple of buddy with R8s and Porsches, Pfaff was not that great, none of them went back.

So far what the indy's have quoted me is a lot better then GT rates.

I would agree with the above - The mechanic at GT downtown location has over 20 years of experience working on Aston's and has serviced all of my cars! He really knows what he's doing.
