There is a guy that runs a company called DreamFleet which will do the import, register, and the warrentee running around for you. Pricing is pretty modest from what I've heard.

I had Unity Automotive in Toronto ship and take care of the importing of my new Audi S5 from South Beach.

Anyone know how to get a temp permit in Ontario after crossing the border? I will need to drive the car to get all these inspections done...

My father (Edmond Helstab) imports cars into Canada regularly; his company is called Dreamfleet - give him a call (613) 795-2786, he'd be happy to answer any question you have about the process.

Hope that helps.

Hello. I am new to this post. Saw this post and wanted to share my business with anyone interested.

I am a car dealer in Southern California and currently have a 2007 BMW X5 (Vin starts with #) that is exempt from the 6.1% canadian duty. Car runs great and is fully loaded. Check out the link below for the ad. The car was recently serviced at BMW and replaced the main battery, brand new tires, transmission service and new front brakes. Spent about $5200 in repairs/service. Let me know if anyone is interested. I can have an independent shop inspect the car and can work with new buyer to get it shipped to Canada.

Not sure if anyone is still looking at this post but thought I give it a try.

Forgot to mention, vehicle is RUST FREE. so it will be a virgin snow user if moved into canada.
