Winter Tires

Yes...I said winter even though we're still in the middle of summer but since I will be driving my C2 in the winter I wanted to get a head start on analyzing and sourcing a solid set of winter tires (not snow tires, yes, there is a difference).

How many of you drive your babies in the winter (in Toronto) and put on a set of winters? What experience have you had with winter tires? I want a set that will last me 3-4 winters so am not looking at winter sports, just something safe & reliable that will keep me and my baby safe.

Thanks in advance.

I have been driving my C4S Daily since i bought it in April 2006. Many now more than ever drive their Porsche in the Winter. Winter is my fav season to drive my C4S in, i look forward to snow everytime. Car is Solid in Deep Snow the PSM is a Real Genius System. Almost all Winter tires if used properly in correct weather will last 3-5 years easy. Tires a very advanced now days, even the Cheapest Tires are very good tires. Get the Cheapest 18" Tires for your C2 and you wil be fine. I have used Pirelli 240 Snowsport in the past, and now i am on Falken Eurowinter for the past 3 Winters.

When you are ready contact Allen @ Simply Tire and he will hook you up.

I know this is an old thread but what size wheel and tires do you use on your 996 C4S? Looking to get a set for next winter. Turning mine into a daily driver.
