Unusual thumping sounds originating at the center console of your 955 Cayenne are usually the consequence of a worn or failing rear driveshaft support bearing.
The bearing sits in a bracket and secures the driveshaft to the chassis of the vehicle, supporting the very heavy prop shaft on its way to the differential. Unfortunately, when this part fails, Porsche only provides a single costly solution - the replacement of the entire driveshaft assembly.
ECS offers a more sensible repair solution - a replacement Rear Driveshaft Center Support Bearing by MTC.

mmm.. what make of this? if chinese wont last long...
next thing is to change this only part you need to disassemble propeller shaft, and forge-roll it back properly that is very hard to do. more, will be vibration after this procedure, so bolts at bearing need to be tighted up in place only with spinin up prop shaft...
