2010 Cayenne-When On Dealer's Lots - ??
Anyone care to guess when the re-designed 2010 (959???- Porsche will probably choose a different model designation for obvious reasons) Cayenne will actually hit dealer's lots? Any speculation on the possibility of a radical structural revamp- moving to a unibody design from the traditional truck frame. This change would certainly enhance handling dramatically, at the expense of towing capability and to a lesser extent off-road durability.

It is impossible to be called 959, there is already a Porsche 959 which is a super car that was released back in 1987. I think it might be out in late 2010 say around october/november so the 955 design lasts for 7 years +.

I'm well aware of the 959, as I noted in my initial post;) So you think the new model will be introduced at the traditional time of year?

When I ordered my cayenne in 2005 I was aware that the new model is coming 5 years down the road, as said by the salesman back then late 2010 is the 2nd generation model for the Cayenne which is a year after the Panamera ( Saloon/Sedan) is released.

Late 2010 introduction would normally be a 2011 model year vehicle. The question is- will the new, completely redesigned Cayenne be introduced in October/November 2009- as a 2010 model ??
I highly doubt that we will see a new Cayenne in Oct 2009, which is just next winter. My new CTT hasn't really been broken into yet, and I'm one of the first guy to get it. |
Targa Tim: I do hope your CTT is NEVER broken into, regardless of when the new Cayenne's are introduced!!! hilarious

automobile mag has the best comments on the 2010 cayenne.
saying that will not be the major re-do that some thought. no major shrinking of the car etc and suggest that 2015 before the makeover is radical. this is the latest issue with the R8 on the front. |
