Question 08' GTS spare tire compartment question

I have searched all the top Cayenne forums to no avail....but also do not have my manual sitting in front of me either, so...

Not really concerned about the 21" standard setup, mainly concerned about a 18" winter tire setup and whether a full 18" spare with fit in the compartment. I do a lot of driving to and from the Sierras (Nov through June) and need the mental security of having a full spare when I really need it. I realize I should have done research before I bought the GTS, but damn that car looked too nice to pass it up

I have the inflatable spare tire located in the spare tire compartment of my 08 GTS. Will this compartment fit a standard spare tire, ie 18" wheel/rim? I do know that in my old X5 and A4 wagon, I was able to just barely squeeze a full 18" spare, so I'm assuming that the industry standard is right around 18". But I'm also worried that due to the fact that some of the older Cayennes had the mounted spare on the rear of the vehicle, that a proper spare won't fit in there.

Any help would be much appreciated....

My 08 has the full size spare that you have to inflate. Not sure about other models but i know the actual well the tire sits in is very small seeing the tire isn't inflated

My 08 has a weird tire. It does not inflate its a tire with slits in it, dont know the size but it does not have air in it. I also have a pump to inflate a flat tire.

With my 23'' Porsche told me not to put the spare the car will not drive or sit right and may cause the engine to shut off due to the suspension being lop sided...

Can't believe you haven't gotten an answer yet. No. A full sized wheel with tire will not fit in the well.
