My new Cayenne S with 22" wheels

I just bought this 2005 Porsche Cayenne S. I love this vehicle.
My mods so far are 22" wheels with 555 Nittos, K&N filters, and I have changed all interior, mirror and flood lights to L.E.D.
My future plans are ceramic brakes pads, front tint, illuminated door sills and re-upholster my steering wheel. What other upgrades are worth doing(performance or cosmetic)?
Any suggestions?

Nice wheels. What are they?

WOODTSTER 09-04-2008 09:35 PM

Looks great,
what color and what wheels?

jiossifi 09-05-2008 06:13 AM

The wheels are hyper silver in color and are the same design as Audi RS4 wheels. These are not from Asia. Infact the company that makes them is the same company that makes most O.E.M. wheels. The ride quality has improved dramatically.

Steering Wheel

I would like to do it something like the one in the picture, but the main color would be black and the insert color would be done in silver just like my interior trim. I would also add more padding to give it a thicker feel. I was quoted $300 including shipping.
CF is nice but would stick out of place since I do not have anything else that is CF. That's just my opinion.

what did you change to LED?
mirrors and rear lights?

What parts did you have to buy to do the mirrors/ flood lights to LED, I am wanting to do the same swap.

The guys at the service dept of my dealership don't know crap, when it comes to that kind of stuff.

saqdiesel 09-05-2008 06:49 PM

What brand are the wheels?

dinorocz 09-06-2008 08:21 AM

Bulbs

I changed the flood lights, license plate lights, exterior mirror lights and all interior lights to LED. I can tell you where I got them from and can provide you a web address if you PM or email me. I don't know if forum rules allow me to post web address. The only tricky ones to replace is the license plate bulbs because that requires installation of load equalizer (which is also sold at the same online store and is like six bucks) on one of the bulbs. I can help with any questions.
This site has all kinds of different Led bulbs.

To change the side mirror lights requires 2 LED bulbs(one for each side). To replace them just carefully pull around the mirror until it pops off. Then swap out the factory bulb for the new one. The mirror pops right in and your done.
The only thing that you have to watch out for is the polarity. If it does not light just flip the bulb to correct the polarity.

The flood lights are also easy to change. Take a small screwdriver and pry out the flood light. Take the same screwdriver and remove the metal shield that surrounds the backside of the flood light and replace the old bulb for the new. Again make sure it lights before you put everything back together.

I forgot to mention I also I changed the accent bulb on the headlights.
I am including pictures.

I think its ok to post the website if it's just to provide info as long as you're not advertising your own place.

I'd like to know about the bulbs too. I knew those rims looked familiar(rs4) they look awesome on the Cayenne, congrats
