Brake Jobs in Orange County - Recommendations?

My first brake service light came on with 24.5K miles on my '05 CS. Dealer says time for new brakes... $1000 for front pads and rotors and $900 for rear pads & rotors.

Does anyone have any recommendations for independent shops (in Orange County,CA) that do a good job at "less than dealer" service prices?

Thanks in advance for any advice/recommendations.

Buy the parts and do it yourself, way too easy of a job to pay stealership prices!

+1 with SoCal955 ... it is an easy DIY, but you do need a specialty socket to remove the rear rotors. Do a search on this forum for more information.

Pointby has a little shameless behaviour in the past
If you don't want to spend your time on a DIY project, call GMG. It would be interesting to see how GMG compares on price to the dealer. And with GMG you know they'll use quality parts.

Thanks for the feedback and tips! I'll check for info on DIY and GMG. I may go to GMG's Open House on the 17th and talk to them. It would be nice to know if they do regular maintence work.
