What's the difference between MSRP and invoice?
Does it mean the real value of the car is the invoice? |

Ok you are all wrong... Im just trying to help...I used to be GM at Porsche-Audi dealer..
All 2009 Porsches invoiced( that is dealer paid PCNA for the car) after 8/1/08 has 10% front end mark up( invoice to MSRP) and 5% "hold back". This was never neg before until now... Obviously the dealer has expenses but that is the tru mar up. Good luck!!! |

Obviously the dealer has expenses but that is the tru mar up. Good luck!!! I have seen this invoice break down from multiple sources for 09's............. And an invoice does not necessarily have to mean what a dealership paid for a car. There are many ways to hide what one paid for an item. Such obvious ones would be public knowledge such as incentives incentives. Meaning a Manufacture sometimes offers lets say $2,000 incentive on a vehicle meaning the dealership can choose to relay that saving in cost to the consumer or not or half way. w/e you get the point..... The only point I am trying to make is that there is a possibility a car can end up costing a dealership less than invoice. There is a reason why car dealerships have a bad reputation for not being honest. So Honestly I really wont believe what ever you tell me. I will just have my own understanding of how business goes through past experiences. |
