Winter tires for Turbo S

I just bought a Turbo S and need winter tires. It comes with 21" wheels and I would like to use 18s for winter. Not sure if 18s will work on a Turbo S. Have been told yes & no. Anybody know for sure? Thanks in advance for any help

the brakes are too big for the 18's. if you want to same money get replica 20's and tirerack has snow tires in that size. 275/40/20

Thanks - I have 4 snows that size with about 3000 miles on them that I took off my 07 Ranger Sport Supercharged that I traded on the Turbo S. Just thought if I went smaller, it would be a lot better in the snow. I was told if I did not have ceramics then 18s would fit.

my bad. yes you can.. best way to check is go on tire rack and see what size winter wheels they offer. 18's are available.

I'd call Tire Rack and a Porsche dealer and double check. The TPMS on my '09 Turbo S only shows 19" and 20" for winter settings. I have 20's and they are working out just fine.

I just picked a set of these up for an 06 Turbo S. They are made for 08+ due to a different type of TPMS transponder. I just had the dealership swap sensors to make them compatible with my 06. Obviously you wouldn't have that problem.. but it is a solution for other's out there that want a snow wheel and tire package.

19" is as small as you can go on a Turbo S

No they aren't. I have 18's that will clear them. A few, but they do clear. Used with a 235/60 18 or 255/55 18 they fit fine and work much better than the stockers.

Carnuts, call me and we'll discuss. I still have inventory left.

Thanks for the replies everybody. Since I own almost new 275/40-20 winter tires that I took off my traded vehicle, I decided to buy aftermarket 20' wheels and use them.
