I was on freeway, posted 55 MPH and I have no idea how fast I was going... I was just going with the flow. Well there was traffic, whole freeway slowly coming to a halt. My lane all of a sudden came to a COMPLETE stop, and I didnt break hard enough soon enough. No I was not tailgating anyone, I was WELL BEYOND the 3 second rule, I just didnt realize how hard I should of breaked. Well I ran into car in front of me, who in return slightly rolled into another car, who also hit a 3rd car. The lady incar in very front got out of her car, checked for damage and sped off. Turns out she was never hit, she checking to be sure... okay. Well I am responsible for all of this because I was in the very back, not much I can do. What can I say, I hit a car and I have to admit it is my fault. Frankly I was not doing anything wrong, just happens to be one of those situations that I didnt have too much control over. The lady two cars in front of me was talking about how she stalled her car (it was manual) and she couldnt get it going again, I think what happened was she made some reallydumb mistake and stalled on the freeway which was going around 15MPH around there. Told officer I did not know how fast I was going, just went with the flow. He gave me a ticket for "being unable to avoid a collision, approx. speed of 20-25 MPH in 55 zone". It is a $120 ticket, that doenst bother me too much. Just glad everyone is okay, and not happy with what has happened and how screwed up my car is; not sure what to do yet. I am not in a good position right now, given my age and the situation i am currently in. Looks like around $500 damaage to the two cars, and I have NO IDEA no much its gonna cost me to fix my car. The hood also wont close (made misake of opening it to see if engine was alright). I am most probaly going to have my insurance raise two times, once for ticket and once for being involved with a collsion. I dont feel so good about this... :/

I think I was going alot faster than 20-25 MPH, as the whole freeway was until sudden stop. THe freeway was going 20 MPH after collision happened to slow down and see what happeend, and I think officer put down 20 mph because thats how fsat it was going when he got there, since it was rush hour and thats how fast it goes about that time.. this just sucks!!

I cracked my front lip (shut up Florida guys) which is the only reason I have an aftermarket bumper on my car...otherwise I would still be stock...

I think I might need a new hood too... lol this is sad but might be my ticket to aftermarket stuff, assuming i still have the car lol!! Mixed feelings right now, but hey I will try to make the best of the situation.

Oh and you want to hear some BS? The people were compaining to the highway patrolman "that damn car is a porsche, that thing should of stopped fast enough!! blah blah" I can see their point, but luckily the highway patrolman understood that it was an SUV and I didnt even have to point that out to them.. I actually ran into some nice people, the girl in the very front car was extremely nice, but the people i rear ended wouldnt talk and were a little nutty

CayenneS: Dont feel bad about it. **** happens and sometimes you just cant avoid it, be happy and thank god that the damages are at least minimal. If your were planning to get an aftermarket front bumper now is the time to do it.

 

Okay my father is mad, says it is gonna most probaly affect insurance on all of our cars.. im screwed, this aint good

Ryan: Of course he is going to be mad but he will get over it soon dont worry man. Since the only damage I see is to the front bumper I dont think its going to cost more than $1500 to get the car fixed. I suggest your parents pay for it instead of reporting it to your insurance company.

 

I have to pay for all the damage, probaly the other cars as well ..there goes my wheels, etc. I am gonna hope that it isnt as bad as I think it is, on tehir cars at least. Mine is bad, anyone know how much it will cost to fix mine APPROX??

Ryan: I am sorry to hear this. yes **** happens!! don't be sad, once you get the money from insurance, don't get original hood or original S bumper, get the Gemballa one instead, your car will look hot!!

Next time when you’re in a situation like this use the tiptronic button and manually shift down to 1st gear that helps a lot. I know there is little time to react but practice helps
