Satellite antenna question

Does any one know how I can check the connection on my satellite antenna? I lost my nav system and the Sirius radio is searching for a connection. Sirius customer service rep suggested I check the connection on the antenna.
Help, please.

Same thing here... dealership quoted me $380 to "replace" the antenna (not covered under the "full" warranty). I declined and thought I'd try and take a look at is myself, I just don't know where to look.

I don't know the answer..but it seems to me the connections would be at the PCM and then at the antenna which I think is in the rear spoiler. I'm not sure how you'd "test" it though..

i don't know how an antenna can go bad, it probably has something to do with the wires, not the antenna..

I'd first connect external test antenna to your PCM to see if your problem is because of the antenna and then if it is try to find out where you have a loose connection. Also, when you remove your PCM make sure all connections are in place, you may have a loose connection somewhere there... I would also try to reset the system by disconnection your batterry, but not sure if this might be a good idea.
