2010 Cayenne - Who's in?
Its going to be much more hardcore. A couple of things i can infer:-
- Smaller size - Lighter - turbo 500++ BHP - PDK - 997 Steering - Panamera interior http://www.autoblog.gr/wp-content/up...enne_csd_1.jpg http://www.egmcartech.com/wp-content...enne_csd_2.jpg Its going to be setting new benchmarks in the segments. BUT I personally prefer the old design (957) as of now. What do y'all think of the new shape? Is anyone sold on the design or doubts? |
I think I'll have to reserve judgment till i see it in person, but I definitely see potential in it...especially in GTS form.

My issue will be with the smaller size - especially if the GVWR drops below 6000 lbs. Trucks over 6000lb GVWR are very attractive to own in a business name b/c of the tax deduction. If the new Cayenne is under I wouldn't even consider owning one.

It's my understanding that the 2010 Cayenne will remain, essentially, unchanged from '09 model. The 2nd Gen. Cayenne, as shown above, will be a 2011 model year offering.

IMHO, the '08 model was a mid cycle refresh. The 2011 model will be the true 2nd generation Cayenne.

Hi porsche23
Thanks for the pictures For the moment my sense of proportions is a tad offended Is it just me ,or do those wheels seem too outsized now that the top half of the frame seems to have shrunk? To me, The pepper has lost quite a bit of it's stately elegance...not to mention it's aggressiveness :( I know many companies are downsizing, I just hope Porsche is not turning the pepper into a Honda srv |
i just finished packing all the gifts for a birthday party tomorrow. i had to lower the 2nd row seats in order to fit everything. it is almost a joke that my SUV can't carry anything.
i am not sure if they should make the cayenne any smaller. |

The tax deduction sucks now. Not as beneficial as it was a few years ago. It'll be even worse soon. With some pretty hot X5M/X6M products coming out of BMW soon I sure hope Porsche really steps up the game with the Cayenne!!! |
2010 Porsche Cayenne looks less like an SUV and more like a Porsche
2010 Porsche Cayenne looks less like an SUV and more like a Porsche. The 2010 Porsche Cayenne will feature a more steeply raked windshield, shorter greenhouse and blacked-out B- and C-pillars. The new Cayenne will address fuel efficiency issues with a hybrid and diesel model in the line-up. Yes, hybrid and diesel Porsches are only a few years away.
