Another yet, brakes question!

Hey guys,

well I am getting ready to do the brakes on my 04 Cayenne S

I need to know are there any special out of the ordinary tools that I would need?

Please let me know!

Thanks,
Paul

front brakes only, no. if you are doing the rear there is a spline tool you will need. it was mentioned in one of the earlier brake posts. as far as the fronts, i would begin the job with 2 new sensors. i picked them up from volkswagen for about 25 each since the old ones had VW part #s on them. not sure what porsche would charge but i would presume more. it is very, very simple should take about 15 minutes per corner. a 10mm to remove the backside of the pin and a long screwdriver to pry the old pads against the pistons to back them into the caliper so you can fit the new thicker pads in. lube the points where friction is present and viola' you're done.
