Saw the new "Cayereg" today
There's a VW dealer near my office so I stopped in to check it out. It looked real nice. They had a V6 in a color similar to Polar Silver that listed for around $37,000 and V8 that listed for around $48,000. The interior trim level looked excellent even on the V6. I'm not sure if the burled walnut was real or "faux," but it was finished in typical VW/Audi fashion. Even the pressed vinyl dash looked better than the Cayenne S. Couldn't help but think that I could have had almost 2 V8s for the price of my TT!
By the way, for anyone interested in painting their "B" and "C" pillars, the VW's come standard in gloss black and appear to be the same as the Cayenne. Attention "Carrera Scott!" Perhaps these parts could be ordered from the VW dealer instead of painting them. Good luck getting the parts though!

Eric.. I was at the dealer today too... just saw it... its nice.. but the only thing that resembles the Pepper is the middle part of it.. The rear of the Cayenne is definately wider.. the VW looks thin.. the front was nice and interior nice too.. but its no Cayenne... I think Natalie's word's were "Wow VW has come a long way"
Kevin,
It definitely looks good. I like the corporate VW front grill too. Another neat feature was the way the roof racks slide together to form a semi-roof spoiler. It should give the some of the other SUVS a lot of competition since it's a new vehicle and priced well. However, in most cases I don't think people that want a BMW, MB or Porsche will buy a VW. Nobody aspires to one day have a VW. That's why Toyota started Lexus and Nissan Infiniti. It's also why VW should have started their own "premium" brand as evidenced by the fact that they're selling about 1/3 of the Phaetons they projected. In actuality, "Phaeton" should have been the name of VW's premium brand.
BTW, I just saw that your b-day is February 4th. It's also my daughter's. I knew you were a good guy!
