pricing opinions for a 2009 CPO'ed GTS

hey guys...Im buying a car for the wife <its totally for the wife...ahem...cough...cough> for the holidays and found one Im VERY interested in. Its list is more than I want to spend, but I have to find a way to get the Cayenne GTS for her instead of a Junk Rover Sport (hate those Range Rovers!).

I found a 2009 GTS, CPO'ed with 3100 miles thats loaded, with the exception of PDDC and rear seat entertainment:
GTS red
pano roof
Tip
bi-xenon
full black leather interior
light comfort package
park assist
Bose surround
heated seats
PCM for offroad
bluetooth
v-assist power steering

original MSRP was 96,920 and the dealership is asking 79,990.

What do you think a realistic price for this car would/should be? I havent found one with all of those options (which are very desirable to me/the wife) and low mileage....Im hoping to get out the door for 73-75K (cash deal), which I think is reasonable in todays market, but want to hear what you all think.

Thanks for the help...

If you can get access to it, check the auctions for Cayennes. When I was shopping, the current and previous model year cars were going in the high 50s/low 60s on the auction market. Guys were paying in the 70s for a NEW GTS.

thanks Wayne. Unfortunately, Im a nervous bastard and need to buy a CPO'ed from a dealer.

My wife and I passed on the GTS Red car and are looking for one in Meteor Grey. She felt that over time (and I agree with her) that the thrill of the red would wear off.

Its amazing to me that in todays economy, Im having a tough time finding a Meteor Grey at a dealer with the panoramic roof system (a must option for me/us). There are a bunch of black ones out there, but I've found only one in the country in MG; They're asking 73K (down from 75,995). It does come with a set of winter tires and wheels though (18's which I am not a fan of...Id rather put Scorpions on the 21's). I offered 69K w/o the tires and wheels (I will have to pay for shipping the car), but they're holding firm at 73K. We'll see what happens....

No, I meant just check auctions to determine what you should pay for it from the dealer. It gives you a starting point to know what dealers are paying for the cars.

When I was shopping my Cayenne in June of this year, I was offered a new 2008 GTS tip for $69k and a new 2008 GTS manual for $63k. Both had stickers at ~$85k-86k. Knowing that used 2008 GTS were going for lower 60s at auction helped me to negotiate. Ultimately, I took the manual because I enjoyed driving it more and it was a smokin' deal on a car with just 97 miles.
