My Poor Baby
I had a problem with my cayenne today and I'm wondering if any of the many experts here have hear about it. When starting from a stop I would step on the gas pedal and my cayenne wouldn't go anywhere, it felt like it was in a really high gear. I tried to step on it a bit harder, it would clunk into the "proper gear" but the shifts were really jerky. It seemed to fix itself for a while and when driving at higher speeds I wouldn't encounter any problems. The problems started to occur again when I accelerated through a turn and it just got worse. I was trying to make it to the porsche dealership but a traffic light got in the way. As I tried to accelerate from a stop the same problems occurred but this time the revs dropped to 0. I had to pull over and I was towed to the dealership.
It is a 04 cayenne and I research has only provided me with two similar accounts. Sorry for the long read and thank you in advance for your expertise. Happy Holidays! (Apparently santa thought I was bad this year.) Edit: oh and I forgot to mention, the car would jitter side to side at a stand still |
any warning signs? completed details on model type? Sounds like your coils completely locked you out...

The check engine light turned on moments before the revs dropped and its an 04 V6

I am no expert, but that sounds like a transmission problem:eek:
Good luck to you and Merry Christmas |
I just got informed that a faulty fuel pump is causing the problem
