Passenger side mirror won't swivel now

Curious if anyone else has experienced this or knows what it could be.

My 04 Cayenne S's passenger mirror used to swivel down when in reverse but for some reason it doesn't do it anymore. And yes, I've made sure the knob is turned to the right side. ;) I can adjust it from the switch just fine but it just won't swivel anymore.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Have had this in the past.
Try resetting the programming of your mirror. It's in the manual.
If the reset does not work, it may need a dealer visit so they can reset the system with their specialized equipment.

Thanks for the reply. I hadn't seen anything in the manual about resetting the programming before when I looked for answers but I will look again.

Would you mind explaining a bit? I'm pretty tech savvy and figured out the main menu pretty quick but the only setting in it had to do with having both mirrors synch when moving. I even tried setting it during the comfort setting but when I tried reversing it didn't swivel as I had hoped.

And when I asked the dealer about it they didn't have a clue. Sad.

Thanks again. I appreciate the help.

Page 35 of my owners manual, under paragraph "storing passenger mirror setting as a parking aid" describes how to program and store the swivel down action.
If it doesn't work the dealer can reprogram the swivel down action.
Good luck.

Thank you so much. I'll try that again. Maybe I did something wrong before. It seems a bunch of settings got out of whack when they replaced some controls. Ugh. Dealers.

Cheers
