how does it make financial sense to leave a nice SUV at home and drive a cheaper smaller one? wouldn't it make more sense to A: drive what you have, or B: sell it and get something nicer and same size that you'll love more and drive it?

u can only drive one car at a time, why make it smaller and cheaper... drive what you love.

I think that having owned the Q5 for over a year, I thinks it fits the bill. I have the six cyl (3.2), drives more like an A4 with pretty good gas mileage. Over a year, I have averaged over 21 mpg and have not been in for any repair other than regular service.
